Turn what you read into flashcards
Highlight what matters in a web page or a PDF and turn it into flashcards as you read. Buboflash decides when to show each one back to you.

Works in your browser, on a computer or a phone. On a computer, add the extension to Chrome, Edge or Firefox to highlight pages right where you read them.
How it works
-
1 Select a passage
Open a web page or a PDF in Buboflash and select what matters. With the browser extension, select it on the page itself.
-
2 Choose what it becomes
Annotate keeps the passage. Flashcard… turns it into a question and an answer. Occlusion… hides the words you pick, for you to fill in.
-
3 Review when it is due
Each card comes back after days, then weeks, then months: later every time you remember it, and adapted to each card.

Read together, keep your own version
Annotate the same book or article with other people. Your edits stay yours: nobody's version overwrites anybody else's. A card you are in the middle of learning stays as it is until you have finished with it, so what you are tested on does not change under you.
Documents you upload stay private, and you choose who may see a PDF you share.
For the long run
You review only the cards that are due, whether you have a hundred or ten thousand. Some people have reviewed with Buboflash on more than 800 different days, over four and five years.

First of all, let me begin by thanking you for your amazing work on buboflash. I have been using your product daily for over a year now and think it is amazing! In fact, I am not sure what I would do without it, when it comes to both learning new material, and helping me retain old knowledge.
I think you are doing excellent work! It is great to know that there are people who understand the value of learning, know about spaced repetition, incremental reading. What I really like about you is also the commitment to openness and transparency, that is so important in the world of knowledge management.
